Group Chief Risk Officer, Aviva
Angela is the Group Chief Risk Officer for Aviva and a member of Aviva CEO’s Group Executive team. She is also a member of the Actuarial Council of the Financial Reporting Council. Prior to becoming CRO she held a variety of actuarial roles at Aviva including UK Life Chief Actuary.
Before joining Aviva in 2001, she was a life insurance consultant for twelve years. During this time as a consultant, she worked on wide variety of actuarial assignments in many countries.
She has been completely out for a number of years, plays an increasing role in the Aviva Pride network and has contributed to Aviva’s “It gets better project”. Additionally, she has recently joined York’s Fairness and Equality Board which aims to tackle many forms of inequality and unfairness in York, including LGBT issues. She is recognized for her efforts for the LGBT community through the FT’s OUTstanding List where she is currently ranked number 15.
Outside of work, she enjoys most sports, wine and photography.
Angela was ranked #32 in the Financial Times 2015 Leading 100 LGBT Executives OUTstanding list.
