Head of Global Restructuring, Aberdeen
Stephen Fang is Head of Global Restructuring and Insolvency at Aberdeen Asset Management, one of the largest independent asset managers with over £300bn in assets under management and with 38 offices in 25 countries. He works with investment teams in Fixed Income in their analysis of credits across multiple high yield and investment grade portfolios. Before joining Aberdeen, Stephen practised as a lawyer at leading international law firms representing banks, asset managers and hedge funds on special situations, restructurings and M&As across multiple jurisdictions. Stephen sits on Aberdeen’s Global D&I Committee and on the advisory board for Shape History. He holds degrees in Economics and Law having studied at NYU and The University of Sydney graduating with First Class Honours and was the recipient of the Justice Stanley Vere Toose Memorial Prize. He is admitted to the bar in England and Wales and in New South Wales, Australia. Stephen was born in HK, raised in Australia, naturalised as British and is a proud father of an adopted boxer.
